SkillSwap is a technology platform only. We do not verify the qualifications, expertise, or credentials of any user. You are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability of any person you choose to engage with on the platform.
SkillSwap offers the following subscription tiers:
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store your payment card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; you will retain access until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.
We reserve the right to modify pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
You retain ownership of all content you submit, post, or display on SkillSwap ("User Content"), including your profile information, messages, and webinar materials.
By submitting User Content, you grant SkillSwap a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.
You represent that your User Content:
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

Creator-plan users may host webinars and charge attendees a fee. By hosting a paid webinar, you agree to:
SkillSwap acts solely as the technology platform facilitating the session. We are not a party to any agreement between hosts and attendees. Disputes between users are the responsibility of the users involved.
We reserve the right to withhold or reverse earnings from webinars that violate these Terms.
All content, design, code, trademarks, and materials on SkillSwap — excluding User Content — are the property of SkillSwap and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our express written permission.
Your use of SkillSwap is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using SkillSwap, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
We take the security of your data seriously. Our backend infrastructure is provided by Supabase, and payment processing is handled by Paddle. Neither we nor our providers sell your personal data to third parties.
SkillSwap is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
Use of SkillSwap and any reliance on content or skills provided by other users is entirely at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SkillSwap and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.
You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your profile and associated data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Your continued use of SkillSwap after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform.
